You Won't Find Validity in Claims that are Blatantly Hypocritical & Nonsense with @SincerelySyren

Good morning everyone! How are you all doing today? We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and healthy as COVID cases rise up again! Ugh! We too are just as worried as you are! 2020 has been such a tumultuous year for all of us; however, by us being together and supporting each other, we can all overcome this year!

That said, we have a new interview featuring our lovely fellow New Yorker, Syren @SincerelySyren. Syren is what we would describe as the ultimate fearless woman of the century. LECHERY discovered this beauty on Instagram after seeing the unabashed content she posts on her platform. From fitness to hairstyles to pole dancing to lingerie and hosiery, she pretty much posts content pertaining to anything beauty and lifestyle related. We were thrilled, and we had to reach out and ask her if she wanted to do an interview with us.

Aside from the unabashed persona she successfully portrays on social media, Syren has had her fair share of struggles growing up when it came to posting content relating to body-confidence, lingerie, and hosiery. However, this did not stop her from doing what she loves and posting content on what she has always had a passion for because deep inside she knows that she is a logic-driven person. Any sort of negativity coming from naysayers are blatantly hypocritical and non-sense. We, at LECHERY, couldn’t agree more!

Along with that, Syren has made a promise to herself that she would be a representation of what her younger self longed for - a model, Youtuber, and micro-influencer .

To learn more about this fascinating woman, how to stand up for yourself, and how to be yourself despite negativity circulating around you, keep on reading!

Interview with the gorgeous and stunning @SincerelySyren

LECHERY: First of all, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interview you! It is such a pleasure to have you here with us (virtually) of course haha! Let’s first start off by telling us a little bit more about yourself. What do you do?

SYREN: Hi babes! My name is Syren (Sincerely, Syren on all platforms). I am a model, youtuber, and micro influencer, specializing in Beauty and Lifestyle content. I’m based in New York City and from Long Island, NY. My purpose is to document my journey through womanhood in hopes to inspire women to cultivate the best experiences within theirs.

LECHERY: We see that you're into modeling and lingerie, what got you into modeling and also lingerie? Tell us more about it.

SYREN: As a young girl, I was obsessed with modeling. I remember hogging the family t.v, hours on end, binge watching reruns of America’s Next Top Model. Unfortunately, I rarely saw women who looked like me in the modeling shows, magazines, etc. I promised myself that I’d be the representation my younger self longed for. In regards to lingerie, I used to sneak into my mother’s underwear drawer to admire her bras and pieces. I had no clue undergarments could be so pretty and unique ( at the time I only owned bland training bras). Fast forward to my late teens. I used to secretly purchase thongs from Victoria’s Secret at my local mall (oh, the irony!). I loved how the lace felt against my skin, how beautiful they made me feel. That was the start of my obsession with lingerie.

LECHERY: As a woman, what does lingerie mean to you? Does it give you confidence? Or is it just something you wear to give an added extra sex appeal? How do you feel when wearing lingerie?

SYREN: As I am writing this, I am wearing a lace lavender romper...in my living room...at noon...on a Friday. I say that to say this: lingerie is how I express my femininity, how I empower and embrace my divine vessel, how I celebrate my existence. Through lingerie, I learned that my body, sensuality, and sexuality is my own, not a commodity for the consumption and pleasure of others.

LECHERY: What is the perfect pair of hosiery for you? Or lingerie, if you don't wear hosiery.

SYREN: I am such a teddy/bodysuit type of girl! I love how the style accentuates my curves and makes my booty pop. Lately, bustier/corsets with garter belts and hosiery has peaked my interest.

LECHERY: As wearing hosiery and lingerie can be seen by the wider-community to be vulgar, how do you react to the negativity?

SYREN: I’d be a liar if I claimed that I never received negativity from others because of my content and love for lingerie. I’ve had arguments with loved ones, received gross DMs from complete strangers via social media, and I even had a “friend” share my content with my brother in hopes to “out” me. Thankfully, I have a group of supportive women in my life who encourage me to stay true to my purpose and passion. Anytime I am hesitant to share my content, they’re always reassuring.

LECHERY: We live in a very double standard society, when a man is topless, it is normalized and accepted, but for a woman, she’s hypersexualized and stigmatized. As women, how do you think we should combat this?

SYREN: I stopped caring about societal opinion(s) a long time ago. I am a very logic-driven person ( shoutout to my Aquarius Sun and Mercury placements). How can I find validity in these claims when they’re so blatantly hypocritical and based in nonsense? I know who I am. I know what’s in my heart. I know my purpose. No one can tell me otherwise.

LECHERY: What do you hope to find in the hosiery and lingerie industry in the future?

SYREN: More body positivity/body diversity in mainstream brands! Women come in all shapes, sizes, colors and range of physical ability; that needs and should be reflected within the industry.

LECHERY: What is one thing you would always wear that would make you feel much more confident and sexy? What is your advice to other women who struggle with confidence and body-image?

SYREN: I started wearing matching undergarments on a more consistent basis and it has been such a confidence boost. It's less about the actual aesthetic and more about the act of self care and love. My advice to women that are starting their self love/ body confidence journey would be this: Be kind. Be gentle. Be patient. You're not only building your self-esteem but you are single handedly dismantling eons of maladaptive social programming that has plagued our sisterhood for-literal-ever. Do the work; it's worth it.
