Today, we have Ellie also known as @Qbanaa here with us to share her experiences and deep fascination with lingerie. Ellie is a psychology student based in Ireland who also has a passion for posting content on the side. Some of the content she posts all across her social media platforms include lingerie, fashion, music, makeup, beauty, and her daily inspirations. You should definitely check her Youtube channel, and we must say, she is one hell of a talented girl! Listen to her amazing cover of Crazy by Gnarles Barkley. She got us moving with this open mic night video she posted while social isolating! ;) Simply divine!

Qbanaa graced our presence after seeing the fearless vibe she gives us when she posts photos of herself in lingerie - we were in awe! We couldn’t help ourselves but reach out to her to do an interview together sharing her thoughts on women wearing lingerie, body-positivity, and self-love/self-care. Read on as Qbanaa sheds light on how she thinks wearing lingerie is the ultimate form of practicing body acceptance, embracing femininity, and channeling your sexual energy!

Interview with the beautiful, glamorous, and talented @Qbanaa

LECHERY: First of all, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interview you! It is such a pleasure to have you here with us (virtually) of course haha! Let’s first start off by telling us a little bit more about yourself. What do you do?

QBANAA: No problem, pleasure to connect with you virtually! My name is Ellie also known as qbanaa on all of my social media platforms. I'm currently a psychology student in Ireland but love posting content on the side.

LECHERY: We see that you're into lingerie, what got you into posting lingerie? Is that your way of practicing self-care? Tell us more about it.

QBANAA: I never really thought about it until now, to be honest. I had a very bad past with my body, so I guess it is a form of practising body acceptance and self-love. I think women shouldn't have to shy away when they feel sexy, rather embrace their femininity to the world!

LECHERY: What does lingerie mean to you? Does it give you confidence? Or is it just something you wear to give an added extra sex appeal? How do you feel when wearing lingerie?

QBANAA: Lingerie for me is a practice of self-love and care. It's devoting time to awareness of your body. I feel like these days we can become so stuck in that vicious cycle of comparing our bodies to other people rather than embracing our own, and wearing lingerie gives you that extra time to devote to loving your sexy body. I definitely think it gives more of a sex appeal, a healthy way of channelling that sexual energy. I definitely feel more sexy and feminine when I wear lingerie and it definitely enhances the sexual aspect of life.

LECHERY: What is the perfect set of lingerie for you? And which brands would you recommend?

QBANAA: Oh, that's a hard one, the perfect set for me would be a white lace set. I love balcony bra's and high cut Brazilian thongs as I think it accentuates my curves best. Anything lacy and flowery is definitely up my alley. I love Victoria Secret, definitely worth the investment as they are quite pricey.

LECHERY: What is a bad experience you've had with a lingerie set? And what brands would you avoid buying from?

QBANAA: Well, I haven't really had a bad experience with brands, to be honest. I must say though, I much prefer buying in person as I feel like they always end up fitting better. Buying online for me is always a gamble.

LECHERY: What is your main advice to women who struggle with confidence and body image?

QBANAA: My advice would be to say you are not alone, you do not have to love your body all the time. I feel like that is too much pressure to put on ourselves. It's normal to have bad days. HOWEVER, always be grateful for the body you have and accept it on it's bad days. Once you learn acceptance you will naturally flow towards a more positive mindset about your body-image. That is what has worked for me anyway.

LECHERY: What do you hope to find in the lingerie industry in the future?

QBANAA: More cute seamless lingerie, reel it in. All for the seamless vibe, it's so comfy!

LECHERY: What is one lingerie piece that every girl should have in their closet?

QBANAA: I feel like everyone should have a black lace lingerie set and also a white set. Classic pieces and white make you look more tanned which is also a plus.

LECHERY: What is one thing you would always wear that would make you feel much more confident and sexy?

QBANAA: Lace!!! I love lace, can you tell ? :)

LECHERY: Describe lingerie to you in three words:

QBANAA: Powerful, feminine, sexy.

LECHERY: Bonus question: It is a really tough time in today's world with the whole COVID-19 pandemic going on, what have you been doing to keep yourself busy and healthy?

QBANAA: It has been quite tough. I generally take it day by day and let my judgements go every night through some meditation. I'm currently waking up every morning to journal and doing yoga, my go-to channel is 'Fightmaster Yoga' and I'm currently doing her 30-day challenge. Going outside every day is a must, even when I don't want to, I will force myself to get some fresh air and remind myself there are many beautiful things I can do while isolating.
