Happy Monday, ladies! We hope everyone is having a great start to their week! We have been quite busy for the past few days as we are now working on the launch of our new hosiery line in the near future. Despite our hectic schedules and having to deal with so many things at the same time, we can’t miss a day of sharing a new interview with you as this is something we want to keep doing while we can even as a now hosiery brand! That being said, for today’s interview we have the empowering and stunning Adaeze (Ada) @Adaeze_C_Anane.
We stumbled upon Ada’s profile after seeing how fearless she is when it comes to posting content of herself in lingerie or even without any clothes on. We see her as the epitome of unabashed femininity as she is proud to share and show off herself to the rest of the world without fear of judgement.
In this interview with Ada, we discuss about her inspirations in life and how she delve into the world of acting/modeling, her goals as a woman of her size, what lingerie allows to do for herself, her mental health, and her self-esteem/self-confidence, and what she hopes to see in the future of the hosiery/lingerie industry.
From Seattle, Washington, Ada is a woman like no other who possesses the traits of a woman who does not conform to society’s standards and a woman who we dearly look up to. If you want to know more about this beauty, then keep on reading!
Interview with the empowering and gorgeous @Adaeze_C_Anane
LECHERY: First of all, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to interview you! It is such a pleasure to have you here with us (virtually) of course haha! Let’s first start off by telling us a little bit more about yourself. What do you do?
ADAEZE: Hi, thank you so much! I am so glad to be here. So to start it off, my name is Adaeze C. Anane, Ada for short. I am 30 years old, I was born in Seattle, WA and I live here currently. I am a runway model, hand model, Instagram model, an American Hollywood actress, a host on the iTunes Pop Culture Podcast "The GMChannel Show," Advocate for Mental Health Awareness, Supporter of Unicef, Brand Ambassador, Author, Musical Artist, Music Producer, Clothing and Shoe Designer, and finally Artist (Painter.) I would also like to add acknowledgements of who inspires me the most. I wanted to become an actor because of this wonderful man. His name is Tom Hiddleston, he is an actor for Marvel. I have the biggest crush on him. He is talented and he helps children in Africa, it's really sweet.
LECHERY: We see that you're into hosiery and lingerie, what got you into posting hosiery and lingerie? Tell us more about it.
ADAEZE: I want to be more of an empowering figure, especially for a woman of my size, to show the world it is ok to look unique. I work being unique to my advantage. You know, I work it with my own attitude. I also like the attention from sexy men when I don't feel so beautiful. It boosts up my self esteem and honestly makes me feel better about myself and my flaws.
LECHERY: What does lingerie mean to you? Does it give you confidence? Or is it just something you wear to give an added extra sex appeal? How do you feel when wearing lingerie?
ADAEZE: Wow a lot of questions for this one. What Lingerie means to me is something beautiful that is an art form, photography of lingerie, and me in lingerie is a piece of art that shows beauty and grace, and knowing I am at peace in my own skin. I could be in public, nude, and it wouldn't bother me, that is how comfortable I am. As for it giving me confidence, haha, I am actually more confident when I am nude, and in lingerie for photoshoots, despite being plus size. As for being sexy and having sex appeal, I'm a big goof about it, I like sometimes get nervous when I am nude or in lingerie, every model does at some point in their life. I consider myself sexy in lingerie. When I am wearing lingerie I feel beautiful, sexy, and gorgeous.
LECHERY: What is the perfect pair of hosiery for you? Or lingerie, if you don't wear hosiery.
ADAEZE: Cool great question! I love Fishnets the most.
LECHERY: As wearing hosiery and lingerie can be seen by the wider-community to be vulgar, how do you react to the negativity?
ADAEZE: I feel that people can be really mean about it, but to just stay positive for all the young women out showing their bodies in Lingerie on Instagram, even adult sites. To just stay positive, it gets better, and If you feel you are trapped in a dark hole, just remember that you are your worst critic. Believe in yourself and your judgement in your own life and ignore the wider-community. So basically live your life.
LECHERY: We live in a very double standard society, when a man is topless, it is normalized and accepted, but for a woman, she’s hypersexualized and stigmatized. As women, how do you think we should combat this?
ADAEZE: We should confront the stigmatization of women, it is sexist, and unfair treatment. We should be equal in every sense to a man, because we are all human beings.
LECHERY: What do you hope to find in the hosiery and lingerie industry in the future?
ADAEZE: Versatility in what it means to be a lingerie model, we have Victoria's Secret, yet no Victoria's Secret Plus Size fashion shows.
LECHERY: What is one thing you would always wear that would make you feel much more confident and sexy? What is your advice to other women who struggle with confidence and body-image?
ADAEZE: My Versace Bright Crystal Perfume makes me feel very sensual, sexy, and self confident. My advice to other women who are struggling with confidence and body-image is remember that you are not alone, there are plenty of women that are even gorgeous, and that appear to have no flaws, but they still struggle with confidence and body-image. To everyone, gorgeous, skinny, fat, young, old; find love, confidence comes from believing in yourself and falling in love with yourself, saying that no matter if someone makes fun of you, or you're last picked for a cheerleader squad, or you are dumped because you think your partner thinks your ugly. It's not true, beauty comes from within, please never feel ugly, and believe in yourself, with much love and care. Then your struggle with confidence and body-image will no longer exist.
LECHERY: Describe lingerie to you in three words:
ADAEZE: Free, Fire, Sultry
LECHERY: It is a really tough time in today's world with the whole COVID-19 pandemic going on, what have you been doing to keep yourself busy and healthy?
ADAEZE: I exercise, meditate, walk, dance, sing, I model in my house, I'm on social media. I love to do gardening, and sit on my balcony away from the sun, haha, not much liking the heat right now, I'm used to cloudy weather because I live in Seattle. I also like to paint and draw. I love to write poetry, and write in my journal. I pray often. Sometimes that is good for the soul. I cook. I clean. I watch cable tv / netflix / disney+ My current favorite shows are "The Umbrella Academy," "Trinkets" (A show I was an actress in), "Lucifer (Netflix)," "Loki (Series)."
